In the Islamic world, there have been many important personalities who have made a deep and far-reaching impact on history by guiding the nation intellectually and practically. One of these personalities is Hazrat Maulana Mufti Rashid Ahmad Ludhianwi (R. A.). He was born on September 26, 1922, in Multan, Pakistan. He graduated from Dar Uloom Deoband, India, in 1942. In 1957, Sheikh Al-Hadith founded Darul Uloom Karachi, and later was appointed head of the Department of Dar al-Ifta. In 1964, he founded the famous Darul-Ifta Wal-Irshad and Jamiat-ul-Rashid,a famous religious institution in Karachi, in 1994. The number of publications and appendices is 135 based on more than 15 thousand 560 pages. Ahsan al-Fatawa (10 volumes) is his precious scholarly achievement. Along with this, you are also the founder of the famous organization in the social field, Al-Rashid Trust, and in the field of Islamic journalism, the weekly Zarb Momin and the daily newspaper Islam Karachi. He was counted among the leading and famous scholars of Pakistan. Throughout his life, he guided the people in the light of Shari'a and reformation. Allah had made him a person of all perfections and qualities. His trained disciples are engaged in the service of the religion of Islam all over the world. Mufti Rashid Ahmad Ludhianvi died on February 20, 2002, in Karachi and was buried there.
